What a Week!
The first week at my new job was one of the most stressful ones that I have ever experienced in my life. I was to book everything for an upcoming business trip that my boss had and nothing was going my way. The hotel that he wanted to stay at had no vacancies, so I had to book him at one a bit further away from the convention. Having done this, I never even thought about the fact that he would need a Fort Lauderdale car rental.
It was only a few days before he was to leave that he asked me about the Fort Lauderdale rental cars and where he was to go to pick it up. I was on the phone an instant later, only to be disappointed once again by the lack of availability for the weekend.
I ended up getting him a car through a car rental Orlando. They promised to deliver the rental car to the airport for him when he arrived. I knew the price was not in the budget, but I knew we had no other choice. I explained the situation to my boss and thankfully, he did not fire me (what a sigh of relief).
